The Role of the Global Procurement Category Manager
We are seeking an experienced Global Procurement Category Manager to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for leading the strategy and operations of a specific raw material category, such as yeast extracts and flavor enhancers. The successful candidate will drive global benefits and savings initiatives, lead global tenders and negotiations, and manage suppliers for future partnering and innovation.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Business Administration, Food Science, Supply Chain, or a related field;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement;
- Strong understanding of strategic procurement processes, methods, and tools;
- Experience in a matrix organization;
- Strategic thinking and conceptual approach;
- Project management skills;
- Good prioritization and structured way of working;
- Open and proactive communication skills;
- Negotiation skills in complex environments;
- Computer skills: MS365, SAP;
- Fluent English mandatory; and
- Will to travel 20-30% of the time.
