Your Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Development Engineer to join our team at thyssenkrupp nucera AG & Co. KGaA. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for developing innovative and cost-effective solutions for our alkaline electrolysis cells and electrolyzer stacks for green hydrogen applications.

  • Design and develop new solutions for electrolysis cells and stacks, with a focus on transport solutions.
  • Prepare and modify technical documents, including drawings, specifications, and test documents, for mechanical and structural components of transport devices.
  • Transfer development results and improvements to product qualification for serial production.
  • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to develop and implement technical solutions.
  • Lead independent development projects, including cost control and project management.
  • Analyze results and present findings to the business leader.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design and manufacturing requirement standards.
  • Participate in inspections, investigations, and troubleshooting.
Your Profile

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or a related field. Your academic background should be supplemented by adequate work experience in sheet metal designing and processing, as well as design of steel structures.

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or equivalent.
  • Adequate work experience in sheet metal designing and processing, design of steel structures, and CAD tools.
  • Proficiency in modern CAD tools, such as SolidEdge, and PDM/PLM Systems, such as TeamCenter.
  • Ability to think analytically and identify development potentials.
  • Highly motivated and team-oriented with a hands-on mentality.
  • Intercultural awareness and proficiency in German and English.
  • Will to travel inside Germany and internationally on a regular basis.
