Head Pastry Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at a 5* Hotel in Füssen, Bavaria, Germany.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This includes preparing a wide variety of goods, developing new recipes, and coordinating activities of pastry chefs and workers.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Prepare and produce a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, pies, bread, and pastries.
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the hotel's offerings.
- Coordinate activities of pastry chefs and workers, ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
- Supervise and monitor the quality of raw and cooked food products, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist in determining food presentation and create decorative displays.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of ingredients and materials.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in all work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- 4 years of experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or 2 years as a Head Pastry Chef in a 4* or 5* hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, and early mornings.
- Excellent knowledge of the pastry and bakery section, with a passion for innovation and creativity.
- Fluency in English or German, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
- Permanent or seasonal contracts, depending on the candidate's preference.
