About the Role
Bruker, a leading global manufacturer of analytical measurement systems, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join its team. As a key member of the company's legal department, you will play a critical role in advising senior leadership and HR teams on employment law matters in an international setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on employment law matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts, termination agreements, and works council agreements.
- Provide strategic advice on German labor law issues and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with works councils, liaise with them regularly, and provide legal guidance.
- Manage and resolve complex labor disputes and represent the company's interests in labor court proceedings.
- Advise on employment law aspects in compliance investigations and work closely with the Chief Privacy Officer and Privacy Team to ensure compliance with the EU GDPR.
- Provide legal advice and support to additional Bruker groups, as required.
Requirements
- Diplom or Master's degree in law.
- Fully qualified German lawyer with approximately 5 years or more of experience specializing in employment law.
- Expertise in drafting and negotiating employment, service, and settlement agreements, as well as works council agreements.
- In-depth knowledge of works constitution law and experience dealing with works councils.
- Thorough knowledge of the application of the EU GDPR and German BDSG in the employment context.
