Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at PALTRON GmbH. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data engineering processes on our Schunk Data Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceive, develop, and implement data engineering processes on the Schunk Data Platform
  • Collaborate with data scientists and software experts to plan, implement, and coordinate complex data pipelines
  • Lead the implementation of sophisticated data integrations of systems on-prem, in the Azure cloud, and in the IoT area
  • Ensure uniform principles and standards of ETL processes

Requirements:

  • Expertise in big data engineering with relevant technologies (e.g. Spark/PySpark, SQL, NoSQL)
  • Experience with cloud environments, ideally with MS Azure (Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake)
  • Sound knowledge in the development of ETL processes including interface connection
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and data governance processes is an advantage
  • Experience of working in an international environment and business fluent in English
