The Universitätsklinikum Freiburg is seeking a highly motivated PostDoc (m/f/d) to join our translational research team. As a Postdoc, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment, collaborating with clinicians, scientists, and bioinformaticians to advance our understanding of chronic inflammatory skin diseases (CISD).
Project OverviewCISD are prevalent in the population, affecting quality of life and challenging modern healthcare systems. Our research aims to develop innovative therapeutic strategies to combat CISD. As a Postdoc, you will contribute to the design, execution, and analysis of experiments, as well as the development of new research projects.
Responsibilities- Conduct state-of-the-art molecular biology experiments, including next-generation sequencing and CRISPR/Cas9 techniques
- Work with primary human cells and cell lines, including isolation, cultivation, stimulation, and 3D cultures
- Manage projects, including scheduling, deliverables, and reporting
- Collaborate with team members to achieve research goals
- Present research findings and contribute to the development of research proposals
- PhD in a relevant field (e.g., molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry)
- Experience in state-of-the-art molecular biology techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English
