Postdoctoral Researcher in Experimental Cardiovascular Medicine

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Institute of Experimental Cardiovascular Medicine (IEKM) in Freiburg, Germany. As part of a BMBF-funded grant, we have an open postdoctoral position to work on catheter-based reperfusion imaging of cardiac electrophysiology.
About the ProjectOur research group has recently described a novel mechanism of cardiac ischaemia-reperfusion arrhythmias and identified a way to prevent their occurrence. This has led to a catheter design that would allow our two-zone reperfusion approach in vivo. Together with a local catheter manufacturer, we will develop and validate the catheter.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in biomedical research and medicine. The ideal candidate will have hands-on research experience with imaging methods and a track record in cardiac biology or electrophysiology. Excellent communication skills in English (B2 or higher) are a must.
