Senior/Principal Engineer - Video Compression and International Standardization
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Engineer - Video Compression and International Standardization to join our team in Munich. This is an onsite role, requiring regular presence in the office.
Your Mission:
- Develop cutting-edge algorithms in video compression, image/video signal processing, and artificial intelligence.
- Collaborate with international standards bodies to promote innovative technologies and influence industry standards.
- Translate theoretical concepts into practical solutions by implementing algorithms into reference software and conducting rigorous testing.
- Contribute to the development of patents and technical reports to safeguard intellectual property.
Your Expertise:
- Hold a PhD or Master's degree in electrical engineering, information technology, computer science, mathematics, or physics.
- Demonstrate a deep interest in video compression, artificial intelligence, and related technologies.
- Research Acumen: Proven track record of scientific research achievements in video compression or artificial intelligence.
- International Experience: Experience in international standardization, with a history of contributing to and getting contributions adopted in relevant bodies.
- Intellectual Property: Portfolio of patents related to video or image coding.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of international video coding standards (HEVC, VVC, etc.), visual quality metrics, CNN structures, and training principles.
- Software Skills: Proficient in C/C++, Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and MATLAB.
