Senior Manager Project Delivery for QI Operations

As a Senior Manager Project Delivery for QI Operations, you will lead a dynamic team of project managers, product owners, and product managers to deliver strategic, tactical, process, technical, and MHE-related operations projects. Your task is to manage change management needs by mentoring and using Cascade Choice, Design Thinking, and process improvement methodologies. You will ensure that projects match the scope documented and are delivered in time and as budgeted within the required benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take operational responsibility for the projects of the overall portfolio of International Operations (Intralogistics / Fulfillment Center, Drop Shipment, and Inbound Supply Chain)
- Verify project benefits (service, costs, flexibility, and innovation) and ensure that benefits are monitored and considered along the project from idea to successful execution
- Ensure that projects are delivered in time and as budgeted within the required benefits
- Lead international decision and sponsor meetings, including information about the status of projects, intake of new requests for work, change of priorities, regular project information meetings with the German workers council, and prepares recommendations for solutions, requires decisions, and implements them
- Represent the QI Intralogistics / Supply Chain department in cross-functional meetings, including QI SMT Technology update, IT portfolio update, and cross-value stream meeting
- Be in continuous exchange with counterparts in the US
- Develop a product strategy and prioritize a roadmap that uses consistent design principles, focusing on the benefit of the customer, and considers the contact points with the customer, anticipates general market trends, and prioritizes functionalities according to business benefits
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, German workers council, IT, and other relevant functions (legal, finance, and procurement)
Requirements:
- Master's degree in business engineering or computer science or business administration with a focus on logistics or suitable apprenticeship
- Several years of experience in leading various project teams with proven results and success in Intra-Logistic or Supply Chain (preferably in B2C business)
- Proven leadership and project management skills – act like a coach with multi-cultural experience, especially in leading team members across multiple markets and time zones
- Persuasiveness, self-assertion, target orientation, and ability to negotiate
- Experience in time management, strategic thinking, and decision making
- Excellent organization skills and ability to use them in the overall cooperation (Operations, BP&A, IT, Finance, People, Procurement, Legal)
- Self-motivated, act with integrity, resilient, and able to solve conflicts
- Knowledge of actual project management methodologies/tools and IT technologies is state of the art and includes global political and cultural knowledge
- Proven background in business economics, investment, and cost calculation and advanced knowledge in related IT systems and applications (preferably in Logistics/Supply Chain)
- Proven experience in business, process, and general knowledge of Intralogistics and Global Supply Chain Management
