About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at BABLE Smart Cities Iberia. As our new IT Helpdesk Support, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional IT support services to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide efficient and effective technical support by resolving issues reported through our ticketing system.
  • Ticket Management: Coordinate and prioritize tickets and tasks to meet service-level agreements.
  • Communication: Provide timely follow-ups to end-users regarding the status of their issues until resolution.
  • Process Documentation: Help document processes and ensure they are updated.
  • User Access Management: Manage user access to internal and external systems.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Support in the onboarding and offboarding tasks, including provisioning and de-provisioning accounts and access rights.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of access permissions.
  • IT Equipment Setup: Assist new employees in setting up their IT equipment, and access to company accounts and any required systems.
  • Problem Escalation: Escalate problems as required and provide IT equipment and setup.
  • Device Deployment: Deploy devices to end-users and assist with basic enterprise-level management configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Be adaptable to handle ad hoc IT tasks as they arise, contributing to the overall efficiency of IT operations.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with various operating systems and software.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in supporting office productivity applications (Office 365, Slack).
  • ITIL Knowledge: Knowledge of ITIL principles and best practices is a plus.
  • Continuous Learning: A demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology.
  • Issue Resolution: Ability to identify and proactively resolve or escalate issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Qualifications
  • Education: Successfully completed technical apprenticeship or studies in related fields (e.g. IT specialist in application development, bachelor in computer science or any engineering discipline, or comparable education/experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in similar roles.
  • Collaboration: A communicative and collaborative approach that supports your accountable and service-oriented work style.
  • Language Skills: Full proficiency in English and German is mandatory.
  • Cultural Awareness: Intercultural awareness, initiative, and proactive, result-oriented behavior.
