Job Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for the air conditioning of driver's cabs of locomotives and control cars, from quotation and concept phase to the end of the warranty.
- Integrate components, such as control software, thermal flow simulation, and air conditioning units, constructively and design them.
- Prepare supplier specifications, including all design documents and functional specifications.
- Conduct initial sample tests at suppliers and tests in the vehicle to ensure technical and normative requirements are met.
- Closely coordinate with all trades to ensure responsible and proper implementation in respective projects.
- Work internationally with engineering teams at various locations.
Requirements
- Hold a degree (Master) in a technical field, such as mechatronics, mechanical engineering, vehicle construction, or electrical engineering.
- Have initial professional experience in engineering in the field of rail vehicles, automobiles, shipbuilding, or aircraft construction.
- Have advanced knowledge in air conditioning of rail vehicles, automobiles, aircraft, or ships.
- Have a very good command of written and spoken English. Good German language skills are a plus.
