Accounting Specialist - General Ledger

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist - General Ledger to join our Finance Team in Hamburg, Germany.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and book business transactions, ensuring compliance with IFRS/IAS and HGB.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation between IFRS/IAS and HGB.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/IAS and HGB.
  • Prepare monthly tax calculations and implement continuous improvement processes.
  • Develop and implement the Internal Control Framework.
  • Act as the contact person for audit processes and accounting support for M&A activities.
Your Profile:
  • University studies in accounting or a commercial apprenticeship, ideally as an accountant, balance sheet accountant, or tax clerk.
  • Professional experience in a corporate or audit/tax consultancy firm.
  • Good knowledge of international (IFRS) and German (HGB) accounting.
  • User knowledge of common accounting software, with Oracle knowledge being a plus.
  • Analytical thinking, high level of initiative, and willingness to take responsibility.
  • Fluency in English and a good command of German.
