About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Senior Software Engineer with a focus on backend development to join our team at SAP. As part of our dynamic team, you will be working closely with architects, data engineers, and UX designers to shape and deliver the future of GenAI capabilities across our SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative solutions for stable and scalable AI-based cloud services, embracing a culture of automation.
  • Make critical design decisions selecting underlying architecture, collaborating with diverse teams to improve processes on the SAP BTP.
  • Adopt a problem-solving attitude to overcome challenges, being open and ready to learn new technologies and software development practices.
Requirements
  • University degree in computer science or related field with 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong experience building resilient distributed systems with relevant cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, BTP, AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, or Go, familiarity with data-centric languages (Python), SQL databases (e.g., SAP HANA Cloud, PostgreSQL), and data modeling.
  • Strong collaboration skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to think critically.
