Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Institutional Services Assistant to join our team at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas. As a key member of our Physical Plant department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our campus facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, and restroom facilities
  • Move and arrange furniture as needed
  • Clean and shampoo floors
  • Stock restrooms and kitchenettes with paper supplies
  • Buff and wax floors
  • Clean windows
  • Dust and pick up trash
  • Open and lock all buildings
  • Assist with special events

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in comparable setting preferred
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting 20lbs
  • Valid driver's license required

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
