Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Institutional Services Assistant to join our team at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas. As a key member of our Physical Plant department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, and restroom facilities
  • Move and arrange furniture as needed
  • Clean and shampoo floors
  • Stock restrooms and kitchenettes with paper supplies
  • Buff and wax floors
  • Clean windows
  • Dust and pick up trash
  • Open and lock all buildings
  • Assist with special events
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be able to follow written and oral instructions, perform manual labor, including lifting 20lbs, and tolerate solvent and cleaning solution odors. A high school diploma or GED and experience in a comparable setting are also required.
