About the Project

The PhD project at Bosch eBike focuses on reducing the noise of eBike drive units to make them as silent as conventional bikes. This involves analyzing the transfer path of structure-borne noise, a complex phenomenon that requires a combination of theoretical understanding, computation, and experimental knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on an innovative project to develop hybrid modeling techniques for NVH improvement in eBike drive units.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance the project.
  • Be supported by a network of experts in dynamics, vibrations, acoustics, mechanical design, gears, motors, control engineering, simulation, and AI.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong background in theoretical mechanics, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
  • Curious, creative, highly motivated, and independent working style.
  • Very good written and spoken English and sufficient German skills.
