Job Title: Automation Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Manager to join our team at DSJ Global. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Automation Engineering department, planning and implementing new automation initiatives, and developing and managing work breakdown structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive organization and oversight of the Automation Engineering department
  • Planning, project coordination, and implementation of new automation initiatives
  • Development and management of work breakdown structures
  • Creation of new processes to enhance quality and productivity
  • Conceptualization of processes and system components, considering safety, quality, and cost factors
  • Planning, execution, analysis, and documentation of feasibility studies
  • Formulation of safety strategies for new installations, with an emphasis on employee health and safety
  • Specialist supplier identification and collaboration with external partners
  • Preparation of supply comparisons and demand notifications
  • Collaboration and management of international projects
  • Leadership and motivation of all personnel to adhere to health and safety regulations and goals
  • Active participation in regular management meetings
  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of team members
  • Continuous improvement and optimization of the Automation Engineering department
  • Responsibility for conducting employee evaluations, performance reviews, and setting targets within the department
  • Ongoing development of staff and departmental processes focused on innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Responsibility for ensuring resource availability through effective holiday planning within the department

Requirements:

  • Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in automation systems, including PLC programming and robotic integration
  • Strong knowledge of industrial camera inspection systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in multiple areas (mechanics, electric, programming)
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with experience in working with external suppliers and teams
  • Expertise in PLC control programming
  • Experience with robotic systems and industrial automation technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills across various disciplines (mechanical, electrical, software)
  • Ability to lead and guide a team effectively
