Electrical and Cooling Infrastructure Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Engineer/Component Manager for electrical and cooling infrastructure components in our Preclinical Imaging Instruments department.
Key Responsibilities- Hold technical and regulatory responsibility for electrical and cooling infrastructure components throughout their life cycle, including development, transfer to production, and sustaining engineering.
- Manage technical interfaces between instruments and installation sites regarding electrical installation, cooling, and air conditioning/ventilation.
- Act as a lead engineer in the internal and external development of PCI infrastructure components.
- Ensure regulatory compliance of components, including certification activities, regulatory adaptations, recertifications, and updates.
- Explore and assess new technologies.
- Identify and exploit synergies between different product lines.
- Create and maintain technical data and documentation.
- Manage engineering changes and sustaining engineering.
- Highlight life cycle risks and propose new development/re-engineering projects.
- Participate in Quality Meetings and CAPA cases; manage and execute R&D action points.
- Provide technical consulting for PCI Site Planning.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, technical building services, or a similar engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of technical and development experience in electrical installations, cooling/air conditioning installations.
- Practical experience in product safety and regulatory/certification aspects.
- Basic knowledge and professional experience in product life cycle management.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications; SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Fluent written and spoken technical English skills; willingness to learn the local language (German).
- Ability to lead by example and with integrity.
