Senior Product Test Engineer – HIL

Fluence is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Test Engineer to lead the Global HiL Strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or controls engineering and 6 years of industry experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for determining the HIL equipment and associated personnel resources needed to support the needs of the Product Team. They will also be responsible for training and onboarding fellow Product Test Engineer team members, setting up and maintaining multiple HiL platforms, and supporting the preparation of equipment OEM's model implementation on HiL and integration with Support layout and design of grid model for controls validation tests. The successful candidate will also be responsible for executing, running, and automating tests, producing test reports, and ensuring lab and testing safety.
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering (or equivalent) and 6 years of industry experience. They will also have experience with RTDS, Typhoon HIL (Control Center), OPAL-RT (Hypersim), or other HIL platform and software, as well as experience in designing, executing, and analyzing test cases for hardware and software validation. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be familiar with SCADA systems and communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, CAN, UDP, etc. and have a confident user of electronic systems including but not limited to transducers, amplifiers, power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, A/D converters, etc.
