We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Engineer to lead our project estimation efforts in the energy sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating engineering inputs, preparing comprehensive and accurate cost estimates, and validating estimates to support investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the cost estimating process at project level, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Manage and coordinate engineering inputs, including data collection and analysis
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates, adhering to industry standards and best practices
- Validate cost estimates and provide second opinions to clients to support investment decisions
- Maintain Fichtner's in-house cost database and work with commercial cost data/knowledge bases
- Refine estimating methodologies and processes for first-of-a-kind and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in the energy sector
- Promote estimating good practice within Fichtner
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in cost estimating, industrial engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or other relevant studies
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cost Estimator in the energy, green fuel, oil & gas, or industrial sector
- Previous experience working with estimating software packages (e.g., CESK)
- Vast knowledge of cost estimating standards and practices, such as AACE International's Recommended Practices
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong command of English language, both speaking and writing
