Are you passionate about travel, education, and working with diverse groups of people? Do you have excellent leadership and communication skills? We are seeking freelance Tour Directors to lead educational group tours in Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe.

About the Role

This is a seasonal freelance position, and work will be offered and compensated on a tour-by-tour basis. As a freelance Tour Director, you will lead tours of 7 to 31 days in length, with the majority being around 12 days. You will work alongside EF to create memorable experiences for our travellers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage tour logistics, including liaising with suppliers and keeping tour paperwork up to date.
  • Provide educational commentaries and lead fun and experiential activities.
  • Ensure the safety of all our travellers and facilitate the inclusion of every person on your tour.
  • Represent EF while on tour and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Requirements
  • Fluent in English.
  • Based in Northern, Central, or Eastern Europe.
  • A valid passport and legal permission to work in the EU.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills and good attention to detail.
  • A passion for travel and education.
  • Resilience and a 'nothing-is-impossible' attitude.
  • Flexible to adapt to ever-changing situations.
  • Comfortable with modern communication tools and using a smartphone.
