Employment Details

We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team at Kaufland e-commerce. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and robust backend solutions for our Kaufland Marketplaces and internal services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and robust backend solutions for our Kaufland Marketplaces and internal services
  • Take ownership of end-to-end feature development, from designing and coding to testing, deployment, and monitoring in production environments
  • Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code while adhering to best practices
  • Collaborate with experienced team members to tackle challenges and improve existing procedures and processes

Requirements:

  • Completed university studies in (business) information technology, (business) engineering, mathematics, or physics, or comparable practical experience
  • Successful experience building several PHP backends in mid to large-scale software projects
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, and microservices architecture, as well as familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Drive to continuously develop both yourself and your team further to become better every day
  • Passion for what you do and a strong interest in current e-commerce trends and developments
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to embrace our company culture and values
