Responsibilities- Collaborate with lead artists and other team members to ensure consistency in environment asset creation and implementation.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our game's style guide to guarantee consistency in visual elements.
- Create photorealistic and believable environments within CRYENGINE, leveraging expertise in 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting.
- Produce game-ready assets, taking into account technical limitations and performance requirements.
- Mentor and supervise junior artists, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality work.
- Work closely with level designers and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and tools, exploring new methods to improve workflow and efficiency.
- Coordinate with the tech-art department to optimize asset creation and deployment.
- Meet project deadlines and maintain a high level of quality in all work.
- Continuously develop skills and knowledge to stay current in the field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in game development, with a strong focus on environment art.
- Expert-level understanding of current game art processes, limitations, and dependencies.
- Proven ability to create realistic and immersive environments in real-time engines.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (3ds Max or Blender), texturing tools (Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter), and sculpting software (ZBrush).
- Strong knowledge of common real-time game engines and their technical limitations.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and supervise mid-level and junior artists.
- Ability to deliver and receive constructive feedback, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with CRYENGINE and its features.
- Proficiency in procedural content creation and photogrammetry.
- Outsourcing experience and knowledge of remote work processes.
- Passion for first-person shooter games and a strong understanding of their mechanics and design principles.
