Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at STRATO Personal GmbH. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing industrial electrical switchgear for test benches up to 1KV.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop industrial electrical switchgear for test benches up to 1KV
  • Create missing documents for CE-marking, including risk assessment, user manuals, thermal reports, electrical calculations, and system overviews
  • Manufacturing drawings for harnesses, electrical cabinets, and mounting plates
  • Test Rig safety system design and modifications according to applicable standards
  • Create electrical wiring diagrams
  • Support in the design of Harness and Harness installation
  • Support of designing test instrumentation and data acquisition systems and installation
  • Manage the design data of your system in Teamcenter
Requirements:
  • Electrical or Mechatronics Industrial/Aerospace degree or equivalent
  • Min 3-4 years of experience in electrical wiring diagram and CAD systems
  • Experience in a Systems testing, R&D environment
  • In-depth knowledge of common harmonized standards within the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EG and Low Voltage Directives 2014/35/EU
  • Knowledge of E-plan software
  • Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter is highly appreciated
  • Knowledge of Test Instrumentation design is highly appreciated
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial
