About the Opportunity

This position plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of Abbott Diabetes Care - Abbott GmbH, a leading company in the healthcare industry. We're dedicated to helping people with diabetes manage their health with innovative products that provide accurate data to drive informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial leadership and support for all financial systems, ensuring that all operational systems meet financial reporting requirements for business and compliance purposes.
  • Lead the financial planning process for the EMEA Area Commercial Operations team and Country Controllers, prioritizing tasks and ensuring the timeliness, quality, and accuracy of financial information.
  • Coordinate with external service providers to ensure that financial systems, such as Dodeca, SAP, and HFM, meet business operational analysis and reporting needs.
  • Manage and lead the forecasting processes for Balance Sheet, Capital projects, and Cash Flow, establishing priorities and ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of information reported.
  • Oversee the annual Purchase Order approval process for EMEA, ensuring that all POs are approved in a timely manner before each fiscal year.
  • Lead EMEA Capital Project Forecasting, management, reporting, and partnering with EMEA ComOps PMO.
  • Collaborate with the Demand Planning team to ensure accurate inventory levels and optimized DOH levels, minimizing distressed inventory and EOL inventory write-offs.
  • Provide general accounting guidance and support for EMEA Area HQ and affiliates on balance sheet, capital, RCE, and project accounting processes.
  • Focus on improving the Cash Conversion Cycle through process improvements and analytical tool developments to support country controllers and key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related discipline, with ACCA, CPA, or CIMA membership.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive finance/accounting/Audit experience.
  • Understanding of divisional financial processes.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Excellent system skills, aptitude, and experience with Dodeca, Power BI, SAP, HFM, and Excel.
  • Fluent in English, with fluency in a second language a plus.
  • Cross-cultural/international experience and a willingness to international mobility.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and share business implications of financial results.
