Senior Project Manager

About the Role:
Cognex is the global leader in machine vision, with a strong financial position and a culture that maintains a fast-paced, creative environment. We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Operations New Product Introduction (NPI) team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop schedules and manage milestones for assigned products within NPI.
- Partner with global business unit development engineering and product marketing teams to identify obstacles to on-time release, quality objectives, and cost targets.
- Coordinate Operations budgets associated with products.
- Contribute to and drive continuous improvement and enhancement processes.
- Closely collaborate with product marketing teams to monitor and maintain product lifecycles and transitions.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced culture.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability, assembly, test, and manufacturing test development on industrial, electro-mechanical products.
- Knowledge of production environments and processes.
- Customer-focused and professional demeanor.
- Results-driven and self-motivated.
- Excellent communications skills and highly organized.
- Ability to influence through facts and fast action.
- Ability to understand operations at a detailed, practical level and think at a strategic, big-picture level.
Education and Experience:
- BS degree in engineering or a related business discipline is required.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in high-tech, electro-mechanical products in volume production.
- Experience with integrated (hardware and software) technology products is a strong plus.
- Experience working on a global scale is preferred.
