Engineering Manager Photolithography

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Manager Photolithography to join our portfolio company and lead the photolithography team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of direct experience in lithography engineering roles in a semiconductor 200 or 300 mm fab or at a lithography OEM. A PhD or MSc graduate degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, Physics, and Chemistry is required. The candidate should have previous experience in people management or as a process/equipment individual contributor developing leadership skills through project management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, planning, and reporting on the progress of the team of engineers and scientists working on lithography processes and equipment. They will provide in-depth peer review of the controlled optimizations proposed and developed by the team, identify and prioritize improvement projects, and communicate proactively with regards to planned timelines and probabilities of success, budget requirements, and maturation forecasts of lithography enhancements in development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the photolithography team and develop leadership skills through project management
- Manage, plan, and report on the progress of the team of engineers and scientists working on lithography processes and equipment
- Provide in-depth peer review of the controlled optimizations proposed and developed by the team
- Identify and prioritize improvement projects through discussion with multidisciplinary colleagues
- Communicate proactively with regards to planned timelines and probabilities of success, budget requirements, and maturation forecasts of lithography enhancements in development
- Develop and implement process-baselining with the team for all lithography layers as they become required by the pilot line
- Contribute to the standardization of working methodology across the fab-engineering organization
- Participate in finalizing the selection of photolithography related equipment to be purchased and review/negotiate/acceptance test protocols with vendors
- Hire a team of Process Engineers & Equipment Engineers to support the lithography area in our pilot line facility
- Establish procurement relationships with consumable vendors and coordinate preparation activities to ensure the turn on of our pilot line is as smooth as possible
- 5+ years direct experience in lithography engineering roles in a semiconductor 200 or 300 mm fab or at a lithography OEM
- PhD or MSc graduate degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, Physics, and Chemistry
- Previous experience in people management or as a process/equipment individual contributor developing leadership skills through project management
- Practical experience in a facility running track-linked DUV scanners is a plus, but work with i-Line and standalone coat/develop is also acceptable
- Working knowledge and practical experience with FMEA, SPC, DOE, and statistically supported hypothesis testing
- Able to occasionally work in a clean room environment, wear clean room attire, adhere to strict contamination protocols
- Flexibility in your schedule to interact with colleagues on multiple shifts face-to-face when needed
