Job Title: Chief Engineer(Solar/Wind)(m/f/d)

Finance in Motion is a global impact asset manager focused on sustainable development in low and middle-income countries. We develop and advise impact investment funds that bring together public and private investors to address climate change, strengthen biodiversity conservation, and promote economic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of wind and solar PV projects in Eastern Europe, ensuring alignment with company and project environmental, health, and safety policies.
  • Develop, engineer, and design wind and PV projects, including technical oversight and review.
  • Plan and manage all project development engineering activities, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain engineering, design criteria, and applicable standards and specifications for wind and PV projects.
  • Support technical diligence on site selection and project acquisitions, ensuring consistent and cost-effective designs.
  • Direct activities of designers, consultants, and contractors, managing meetings and conference calls to achieve efficient use of resources.
  • Write, edit, and review technical scope of work documents, specifications, procedures, site reports, progress reports, feasibility studies, proposals, and presentations.
  • Collaborate in the preparation and coordination of proposals, proposal materials, and marketing efforts in support of the market segment.
  • Contribute to the development of engineering capability, project engineering management processes, technology roadmap, software tools, and cost-cutting measures.
  • Manage and conduct cost-cutting and optimization analyses, monitor emerging technical regulatory requirements, and ensure coordination between suppliers, global procurement, and project stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Project, or Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Economics.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of a CEE language is a must.
  • Confident and experienced in working in an interdisciplinary engineering field.
  • Profound in working with figures and calculation tools, ability to analyze and illustrate results for decision making.
  • Engineering experience in the wind and/or solar PV project development industry is preferred.
  • Significant relevant experience in project management, new product introductions, supply chain, procurement engineering.
  • Organized and disciplined, combined with analytical skills.
  • Assertive in achieving deadlines and securing deliverables.
  • Result-oriented and independent style of working.
