About Alpadia
Alpadia Language Schools is a leading provider of language courses for adults and children. Our organization consists of four schools offering French, German, and other languages, as well as 14 summer camps for teenagers (13-17 years old) offering French, German, Italian, and English courses.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DaF teacher/instructor to lead our summer camp in Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Teaching German as a Foreign Language (30 hours per week)
- Administrative tasks (course planning, material preparation, student assessment, etc.)
- Preparing the summer camp program from January onwards
Summer Camp Leadership
During the summer period (7 weeks), the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of teachers and counselors (1 counselor per 13 students)
- Organizing student arrivals (welcome, accommodation, etc.)
- Planning the daily program (language courses, activities, etc.)
- Managing the camp's finances and daily operations
- Providing support to students and project partners (accommodation, activities, transportation, etc.)
- Reporting to the Alpadia headquarters and coordinating with the team
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Experience in teaching German as a Foreign Language
- Previous experience in summer camp management or a similar role
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Excellent language skills in English and German (mother tongue level)
- Interest in tourism and cultural exchange
- Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds
Additional Information
The successful candidate will be offered a permanent contract and will be required to live on-site at the summer camp with full board during the summer period.
