About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Release Engineer to join our team at Quantum-Systems GmbH. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for architecting, optimizing, and enhancing our CI/CD pipelines to automate the releases of our QBase ground control and AI missions to our drones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, optimize, and test CI pipelines and delivery systems, and provide support for individual software engineering teams.
  • Architect, provision, and scale our infrastructure both on-premise and in the cloud.
  • Develop tools to support data management, test automation, automated code checks, and drone calibration.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define continuous improvement plans.
  • Design and implement functionalities to efficiently connect Gitlab with issue-trackers and wiki-like tools.
Requirements:
  • University degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of SW engineering/testing experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools like Gitlab/Jenkins, JIRA/Redmine, and infrastructure automation tools like Ansible.
  • Experience in architecting CI/CD pipelines and delivery systems, and providing support for individual software engineering teams.
  • Experience in IT administration for Windows and Linux environments, and proficiency in using the terminal.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with embedded deployment tools (Mender, Yocto, ...).
  • Bonus: Experience with the Nvidia Jetson platform and cross-compiling software.
  • Bonus: Comfortable using build tools (CMake, make, etc...).
