Position Overview
Senior Mechanical Engineer - Energy Storage Unit
We are seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to contribute to the design and development of advanced mechanical systems for the Battery sub-components of our electric air taxis. This role involves ensuring adherence to technical requirements and certification standards to support our organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and oversee requirements for ESU sub-components
- Design mechanical systems from initial concept through to production
- Work collaboratively with suppliers on hardware development
- Develop certification plans and necessary documentation
- Conduct analyses to inform design choices
- Maintain design quality and engage in assessment processes
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- At least 7 years of experience in structural analysis and finite element analysis (FEA)
- Expertise in designing components for mass production
- Familiarity with high-voltage battery systems and electronics integration
- Proficient in CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
- Demonstrated responsibility and a methodical work style
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on, innovative mindset in collaborative environments
- Experience with aerospace industry standards and FEM simulation
- Background in prototyping and testing methodologies
