Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Manager to join our team at the Leipzig plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our EDI, JIT/JIS, and MES production systems, as well as the availability of our IT systems and communication facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth operation of EDI, JIT/JIS, and MES production systems
  • Ensure the availability of IT systems and communication facilities
  • Technical responsibility for all IT systems in the plant
  • Technical and disciplinary management of the IT team
  • Ensure backup and downgrade modes to secure production and logistics processes
  • Implement group guidelines, particularly regarding hardware, software, security, etc.
  • Proactive development of process and system landscape in the plant
  • Management of IT service contracts and relationships with external suppliers
  • Preparation and monitoring of site-specific IT budget
  • Active participation in plant management circle's regular meetings
  • Cooperation with central IT organization

Requirements

  • Completed degree in business information technology or comparable specialist training
  • Several years of professional experience in IT, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Initial experience with management tasks
  • Knowledge of IT system requirements regarding network, security, data protection, and interface technology
  • Good knowledge of project management
  • Strong customer orientation, excellent communication and motivation skills
  • Commitment, goal focus, creativity, and innovative strength
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
