Strategic Procurement Leader

DSJ Global, a prominent global manufacturer specializing in brake friction materials, is seeking a Strategic Procurement Leader to join their exciting group transformation. With a global presence of around 5,000 employees, the company is looking to grow and invest in their purchasing teams.

This is a business-critical role, with responsibility for 11 employees globally, based in a hybrid work environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement a Comprehensive Procurement Strategy: Align with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage key suppliers to ensure high levels of service, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Cost-Saving Initiatives: Analyze spending patterns, identify opportunities for consolidation, and implement best practices in procurement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and IT, to understand procurement needs and deliver solutions that support business objectives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Your Profile:

  • Education: A degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant professional certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience: At least 6-8 years of experience in procurement, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within an international industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of indirect procurement categories, including IT, facilities management, marketing, HR, and professional services. Proven track record of delivering cost savings and value through strategic procurement initiatives.
  • Language: Fluent in German and English is a must.
