About the LCSB

The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is a leading research centre at the University of Luxembourg, focusing on systems biology and biomedicine. Our interdisciplinary team conducts fundamental and translational research, exploring neurodegenerative processes and their contributing factors.

Our Research

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our Digital Medicine group, led by Prof. Jochen Klucken. The group focuses on personalised and value-based digital healthcare, aiming to understand the benchmark framework of a new ecosystem for digital medicine.

Your Role

As a PhD candidate, you will explore the value and health economics linked to the digital transformation in medicine, with a special emphasis on neurodegenerative diseases. You will conduct cutting-edge research in the health economics of digital medicine, employing real-world data and evidence, and perform economic evaluations of digital medicine interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in health economics and digital medicine, focusing on neurodegenerative disease management
  • Perform economic evaluations of digital medicine interventions, assessing costs and health outcomes
  • Explore emerging payment models within value-based healthcare frameworks
  • Analyze policy and regulatory factors impacting the implementation and reimbursement of digital health technologies
  • Publish research results and present them at national and international conferences
Requirements
  • Master's degree in health economics, economics, public health, epidemiology, or a closely related field
  • Strong quantitative skills and familiarity with health economic evaluation methodologies
  • Excellent verbal communication and academic writing skills in English
  • Passion for healthcare innovation, digital technologies, and their economic implications
