Job Opportunity at IRUBIS GmbH

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at IRUBIS GmbH, a young and growing biotechnology start-up. Our company specializes in monitoring and control of bioprocesses, and we are building a state-of-the-art system, Monipa, to provide our biopharma customers with real-time information about their bioprocesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop components and prototypes using our in-house FDM/SLA 3D printers and in cooperation with our external CNC manufacturer
  • Design and development of electronics, including basic PCB design
  • Development and extensive testing of new device components in compliance with Quality and GMP regulations
  • Assembly of optical devices while maintaining accurate documentation
  • Manage the procurement of CNC parts and other components
  • GMP/ISO9001:2015 compliant documentation
Requirements
  • Master's degree in engineering, electronics, medical technology or similar
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Proficient in CAD Software (preferred SolidWorks)
  • Interest and ability to design and develop components that meet quality standards
  • Strong technical understanding of interdisciplinary challenges
  • Knowledge of design rules for 3D printing and CNC-compliant modeling
  • Basic understanding of electronic components and troubleshooting techniques
  • Basic programming skills in Python and C (particularly for Arduino)
  • Proficiency in English and basic knowledge in German
