Cloud Storage Engineer

STACKIT is seeking a skilled Cloud Storage Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available storage systems in our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement storage systems for block, object, backup, and cold storage
- Develop and maintain the infrastructure API for storage provisioning and management
- Extend and improve the current storage environment with new solution scenarios
- Ensure the surrounding system landscape of the storage environment is properly configured and maintained
- Create and maintain professional documentation for efficient use and stable operation of the platform
- Participate in the development of a high-performance cloud platform based on Linux and OpenStack with a focus on storage
- Experience with storage systems, including block, object, backup, and cold storage
- Knowledge of APIs and experience with developing them
- Experience with infrastructure as code in automated environments
- Understanding of storage system operation, including protocols, troubleshooting, performance analysis, high availability, and lifecycle management
- Good knowledge of automation tools, such as Python, Bash, and Ansible
- Comfortable working in open source-based virtualization and container environments
- A dynamic and agile startup environment with a flat hierarchy and open communication
