Job Description
As a Senior Architect for Modernization and Innovation, you will play a key role in driving forward exciting architectural modernization projects at HUK-COBURG Versicherungsgruppe. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a team of coaches for modern and agile architecture work, while ensuring that the team continuously follows modern trends in software architecture and evaluates them for use in our organization.

About the Role
With over 10,000 friendly colleagues and 770 different job profiles, we offer experienced professionals and newcomers many attractive challenges that modern insurance companies face. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing employees in accordance with our management principles, as well as driving forward strategic realignment of our HUK software architecture.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing and developing employees in accordance with our management principles
- Driving forward exciting architectural modernization projects in collaboration with various teams
- Collaborating on the strategic realignment of our HUK software architecture and supporting other teams for continuous architectural improvement
- Responsibility for the development of overarching architecture projects
- Setting priorities with regard to research and development of modern architecture and infrastructure solutions, taking into account the requirements of our development teams
- Leading a team of coaches for modern and agile architecture work in the sense of an enabling team

About You
To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in computer science or a comparable subject, as well as strong practical and management experience in the software development and architecture of distributed systems. Experience in Java, microservice, and cloud architectures, domain-driven design, and team topologies is also highly desirable. Your confident demeanor, strong communication, persuasive, and assertive skills, combined with your agile mindset, will enable you to motivate employees in a goal-oriented and team-oriented manner.
