The Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated test scripts for software applications. This involves developing and maintaining test frameworks and infrastructures, as well as designing automated test cases based on requirements and specifications.

You will also be responsible for executing automated tests, monitoring test runs, and analyzing results. Close collaboration with development teams is essential when identifying errors. Additionally, you will maintain and update automated test scripts according to changes in the software application.

As an automation specialist, you will work closely with developers, test managers, and other team members to ensure the successful implementation of automated testing processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in computer science and several years of relevant professional experience. You should have experience in agile software development for web and app applications, as well as programming skills in scripting languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.

Familiarity with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, and Robot Framework is essential. Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes and their integration into the test cycle is also required.

Strong analytical thinking skills, good communication, cooperation, and teamwork skills are necessary for success in this role. An independent working style and motivation to proactively find solutions to challenges in test automation are also essential.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is €80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
