Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Sustainable Aviation Fuels Researcher to join our interdisciplinary team. As a researcher in this role, you will be involved in the evaluation of key performance parameters of future aviation fuel pathways, process and system modeling for production of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) from concentrated sunlight, water, and CO2, and holistic comparative evaluation of the StL path with liquid hydrogen, e-fuels, and SAF from advanced biomass.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Completed M.Sc. degree in a relevant field
  • Scientific creativity combined with quantitative analytical and programming skills
  • Knowledge of heat transfer and basics of renewable energy technologies
  • Familiarity with aspects of solar energy conversion, life-cycle analysis, and/or cost analysis
  • Proficient in German and English
