Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Verification team in staffing and resource allocation to support device/silicon evaluation and meet design time scales as set by program schedule.
  • Support the Verification Group Manager in planning and executing projects, and allocating resources effectively.
  • Maintain regular communication with relevant teams and stakeholders to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate with Digital Lead designers to develop Verification Environments and Verification Plans that successfully stress the design.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital design verification and integrated circuit development projects.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices within the verification team.
  • Represent the team to the corporate engineering group.
  • Mentor direct reports and review their technical performance regularly.
  • Ensure the team follows procedures and design practices required by internal guidelines and industry standards.
  • Support improvements in verification strategies and ensure their implementation.
  • Act as the main interface to corporate engineering for the team.
  • Support appraisals for direct reports as agreed with the Group Manager.
  • Support the interview process for team members.
  • Manage digital simulation and verification planning and implementation.
  • Participate in weekly resource planning meetings, providing input and guidance.
Requirements

Essential:

  • Typically 10 to 15 years of experience in electronics, with a focus on wireless handheld, consumer displays, or automotive body electronics.
  • Knowledge of metric-driven verification environments.
  • Experience with constrained random techniques.
  • Familiarity with Formal verification techniques.
  • Familiarity with UVM.

Desirable:

  • Experience with low power digital design techniques.
  • Understanding of analog/digital IC design.
  • Willingness to travel.

Qualifications:

Degree level qualification in Electronics engineering or a related discipline is typically required.
