Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a supply chain strategy that supports Novanta's business growth objectives and minimally invasive surgery (MIS) business expectations.
• Implement productivity and supplier improvement plans in collaboration with global category management teams.
• Establish a network of support resources to facilitate supply chain improvements and leverage supplier capabilities.
• Support supplier performance issues and champion resolving supply chain disruptions.
• Negotiate contracts with key suppliers based on robust commodity strategies and total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Drive inventory turns by developing innovative material replenishment processes.
• Participate in global kaizen events to eliminate waste and improve supply chain performance.
• Communicate performance metrics to suppliers through quarterly business reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain discipline.
• 3+ years of strategic sourcing experience.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to learn new systems and work independently in a matrix organization.
• Experience in category management, vendor audits, and contract negotiations.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to ensure material availability while reducing inventory and increasing inventory turns.
• Strong analytical and lean manufacturing skills.

Travel Requirements

Approximately 20% travel, including international travel.
