Product Manager for Innovation Projects (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a vital member of the Veridos Innovations Team, you will oversee the management of innovation projects from the initial ideation phase through to conceptualization and validation. This includes conducting market research, designing business models, and developing comprehensive business cases.
  • You will coordinate and manage work packages within publicly funded innovation initiatives aimed at creating demonstrators that enhance person identification processes at border control through biometric technologies.
  • Your role will involve researching, exploring, and assessing pertinent technologies in areas such as digital identity, mobile applications, and imaging technologies, leading to the creation and development of innovative projects.
  • Staying informed about relevant technology trends is crucial, as you will support the technology scouting and road-mapping efforts at Veridos.
  • You will engage in cross-company communities focused on relevant technology topics and contribute by writing articles and white papers on selected subjects.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A university degree in physics, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a project manager or innovation manager.
  • A solid understanding of technical concepts, with a strong grasp of software development and a basic knowledge of hardware development, including areas like 3D printing and mechanical engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage projects in a dynamic and innovative setting, effectively guiding both internal and external development teams.
  • A passion for learning new concepts, with the capability to plan, structure, and execute innovation projects while thriving in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in conveying complex technological ideas to non-technical stakeholders and senior management.
  • A self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently as part of a diverse, multicultural team.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
