Director of Competence Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Management Team as a Director of Competence Management. This role will be responsible for analyzing mid- and long-term competence requirements, managing the competence life cycle, and providing proactive impetus for new product and technology developments throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies for competence management, including analysis of mid- and long-term competence requirements and management of the competence life cycle.
- Drive and develop the strategy and roadmap forward for the competency field, including technology scouting and active networking.
- Manage annual rolling planning, including cost center, investment, and projects, and monitor compliance with planning.
- Examine opportunities for public funded projects in line with the competence field strategy and acquire funding.
- Lead RD key account management for selected business units and ensure compliance with relevant company policies.
- Lead, promote, and motivate employees in the area of responsibility, including regular employee feedback and appraisals, succession and deputy planning, personnel development, and further training measures.
- Above average science studies (material sciences, chemistry) with PhD.
- Long-term professional experience in R&D management and project management.
- Intercultural personnel management and development experience of larger groups of highly qualified scientists.
- High flexibility, strategy, decision-making, and judgmental skills, as well as communication strength appropriate to the respective target groups on all levels of hierarchy.
- Business fluent English and German in spoken and written.
- Flexibility in terms of time and mobility in the context of required business trips in Germany and abroad.
