IT Infrastructure Specialist

As a key member of the Oxford Instruments Plc team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. Our company is a leading global manufacturer of high-resolution, nanoanalytical microscopy systems, and we are looking for a motivated colleague to join our team in Ulm, Germany.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and maintenance of our IT systems, including servers, networks, security solutions, desktop and backup technologies. This will involve incident management and direct user support on-site and remotely, as well as responsibility for business-critical IT incidents and escalations.
You will also be responsible for managing and supporting IT projects, including the implementation of new solutions. This will involve regularly analysing and improving IT processes and security measures, as well as installing, configuring and maintaining servers, networks and IT infrastructure.
Additionally, you will be administering Active Directory, Exchange and other business systems, and writing knowledge base articles and training new staff. Strong communication skills and experience of working in international teams are essential for this role.
