Research Scientist in Accelerator Physics

The ideal candidate will oversee multiple facets associated with the design and functionality of the PETRA IV project, including:
- Creation of software tools for the commissioning phase of the PETRA IV facility
- Design of beam optics for the main ring and its injectors
- Validation of innovative algorithms and tools at PETRA III, along with support for its operations
- Conducting beam dynamics research pertinent to PETRA IV

Candidate Profile:- PhD in physics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent qualifications and experience
- Significant experience in storage ring beam dynamics
- Familiarity with electron optics correction techniques
- Strong foundation in computing and software development
- Proficient programming skills, ideally in Python and C++
- Excellent communication abilities
