We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our team in the field of polymer adsorbents for PFAS removal. As a key member of our research group, you will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that aims to develop novel polymers for the efficient removal of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from water.

About the Project

PFAS pollution is a significant environmental concern, and our research seeks to find a balance between social development and the long-term protection of our natural resources. The project involves synthesizing a variety of polymers using fluorinated and non-fluorinated monomers with different carbon chain lengths to distinguish the hydrophobic effect and fluorine-fluorine effect. You will have the opportunity to work on the synthesis and optimization of polymers, as well as the determination of PFAS concentrations using LC-MS.

Your Tasks

• Synthesize and optimize polymers for PFAS removal
• Determine PFAS concentrations using LC-MS
• Study the impact of various parameters on polymer performance
• Evaluate data and report in exchange with supervisors

Your Profile

• Studies in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or similar
• Careful and structured work and previous hands-on experience in laboratory activities
• Ability to work independently
• English language
