Position: Industrial IT Specialist (m/w/d)

Role Overview: At Gerresheimer, the Lohr facility specializes in the development and production of glass packaging for the Consumer HealthCare market, adhering to stringent hygiene and cleanroom standards. As an Industrial IT Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks at the Lohr site:

  • Serve as the primary contact for user inquiries and provide first-level support for the local Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and associated peripheral systems.
  • Conduct training sessions for new staff on Smart Factory applications.
  • Oversee user account management and permissions.
  • Evaluate and implement new functionalities as required.
  • Collaborate with the global Smart Factory team for system integration and ongoing maintenance.
  • Manage the integration of machine data and assist in connecting new machinery.
  • Work in partnership with external vendors and internal departments.
  • Maintain an inventory and documentation of all operational technology systems, ensuring timely security updates, backups, and emergency protocols.
  • Coordinate updates for control systems.
Qualifications:
  • Completed vocational training or degree in information technology or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in supporting Smart Factory applications.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and systems, including SAP and control programming.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
