Role Overview: At Gerresheimer, the Lohr division specializes in the development and manufacturing of glass packaging for the Consumer HealthCare sector, adhering to stringent hygiene and cleanroom standards. As an Industrial IT Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks at the Lohr site:
- Acting as the primary contact for user inquiries and providing first-level support for the local Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and associated peripheral systems.
- Conducting training sessions for new staff on Smart Factory applications.
- Overseeing user account management and permissions.
- Evaluating and implementing new functionalities within the system.
- Collaborating with the global Smart Factory team for system integration and ongoing maintenance.
- Managing the integration of machine data and facilitating the connection of new machinery.
- Engaging with external vendors and internal departments for seamless operations.
- Documenting and inventorying all operational technology systems while ensuring security updates, backups, and emergency protocols are in place.
- Coordinating updates for control systems.
- Completed vocational training or a degree in information technology or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in supporting Smart Factory applications.
- Familiarity with production processes and systems, including SAP and control programming.
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluency in both German and English.
