Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering Team in Hamburg, Germany. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale software systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and guiding less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design software architectures and produce detailed technical specifications.
  • Implement software solutions, including version control, unit tests, and continuous integration.
  • Support and execute the software deployment process.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including software designs, test specifications, and technical notes.
  • Identify and implement software engineering process improvements.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in the IT industry with a focus on Java (JEE) development.
  • Fluent in German (written and spoken).
  • Understanding of Web Service Security (WSS) and PKI infrastructures.
  • Expertise in high-volume data processing.
  • Experience in Oracle or PostgreSQL databases (table design, queries, optimization).
  • Proficiency in XML, JSON, and front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Good command of English (spoken and written).
Education:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, or a related field.
Certifications:
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies such as Java, Scrum, or UML.

Aware of software development best practices, with a passion for continual improvement. The position is based in Hamburg, Germany, with the flexibility of a hybrid work model (2 days in the office per week, negotiable).
