Biologist (m/f/d) - Protein Purification Expert

We are a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry, and we are currently looking for a highly skilled biologist or biochemist to join our team as an employee in protein purification.
**Your Role**
- Develop and optimize protein purification processes (downstream processes) for the provision of enzymes and proteins (such as PCR enzymes, transcriptases, proteases, etc.)
- Utilize cell disruption methods (ultrasound, high pressure), chromatography methods (affinity, IEX, HIC, SEC etc.), precipitation methods, filtration and high-throughput methods
- Evaluate the quality of the enzymes using various in-process analytical methods (activity assays, SDS-PAGE, protein content, foreign activity tests, etc.)
- Collaborate in the transfer of products to production scale as well as to production and analytics
- Document all completed work
- Participate in troubleshooting projects
**Requirements**
- Completed studies in the relevant field (e.g. biology, biochemistry, biotechnology)
- Experience with proteins/protein purification and chromatography in a corresponding hygiene environment
- Very good knowledge of German and at least basic knowledge of English
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new methods
- Ability to familiarize yourself with complex issues
- Experience with activity testing desirable
- Ability to lift up to 20kg in individual cases
